Do you feel like meal prepping becomes more confusing on a daily basis?
Can I share three meal prepping tips with you that will give you more energy, focus, and your desired results?
Here are 3 meal prepping tips implemented this WEEK to organize your day and get top results.
TIP 1: Purchase Frozen Fruit and Vegetables when food shopping.
Ideally, you want to have 4-6 servings of fruits and vegetables per day. Now, I’m well aware that seems like “mission impossible” for the busy adult. So, let’s see how we can accommodate you.
This simple and effective action technique is essential to meal prepping. To make life easier, purchase frozen fruits (blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, etc.) and vegetables (string beans, kale, spinach, etc.). It makes food prep exponentially easier by cutting the prep time in half and making the task convenient. Two things are accomplished here:
1) Meeting your green intake.
2) Saving time.
TIP 2: Weigh your Protein, Measure your Carbs.
Invest in a food scale and precise measuring cups for of your foods. Understand how the number of calories and nutrients you’re consuming becomes absolutely crucial to your prepping task-AND RESULTS.
When you’re working out, don’t you want to know how many miles you’re running or how many pounds you’re lifting?
And the obvious, the calories you’ve burned? If your answer is yes, then needing to know how your calorie consumption is KEY during meal prep.
Protein portions should be the size of your fist and rice should be ¼ of a cup for lunches, as well as early dinners, so your body can burn the carbohydrates for energy.
TIP 3: Prepare snacks in sandwich bags.
Look at meals as just a way to curb your hunger, so you won’t overeat during your next meals. Grab your favorite healthy cereal (raisin bran, Special K) combine it with about 5 almonds in two separate bags.
Snacking made easy, convenient, and tasteful.
Let’s make this easy and convenient for you so you can exceed your personal goals! Meal prepping can be fun and effective if you allow it to be.
